We teach minors across the US, UK, and India, and we take the responsibility seriously. This page describes what we collect, why, and how we keep children safe.

The short version

• We collect only what we need to schedule and run classes, and to show you your child’s progress.
• We never sell or rent personal information, and we never use a child’s data for advertising.
• We do not publish students’ names, and we publish a student’s work or feedback only with explicit written parental consent. Public case studies are anonymized.
• Enrolment happens through a parent or guardian — accounts are created by us as part of joining a class, never self-served by a child.

What we collect

• From parents: your name, contact details (email, phone/WhatsApp), time zone, and what you tell us about your child’s grade and goals.
• About the student: name and grade level, class membership and schedule, and learning records — question and test attempts including answers (typed or handwritten on the platform’s writing canvas), scores, and time taken. These records exist so that you and the teacher can see real progress.
• Class materials: live sessions are recorded and shared to the student’s own folder; whiteboard photos from class are converted into typeset study notes visible only to that student’s batch.
• From this website: nothing beyond what you send us yourself — the site sets no analytics or advertising cookies.

How we use it

To run classes and the learning platform, mark answers and tests, share notes and recordings with the right batch, answer your questions, and manage billing. That’s the list. We don’t sell, rent, or trade personal information, and we don’t use it for third-party advertising.

Children’s data

Most of our students are minors, so we treat every student record as a child’s record. We collect a child’s information only in connection with a parent- or guardian-initiated enrolment, use it only for teaching and progress reporting, and share it only with the child’s own teachers. Parents may review their child’s records, ask questions about them, or ask us to delete them (see “Your choices” below). We aim to honor the child-privacy expectations of the regions we teach in, including the US (COPPA), the UK (UK GDPR), and India (DPDP Act).

How the platform protects students

• No self-serve accounts: student accounts are created and approved by us as part of enrolment.
• Batch-scoped visibility: class notes and materials are visible only to the students of that batch; each student sees only their own attempt history.
• Protected staff access: teacher and administrator accounts require two-factor authentication.
• Report anything: every lesson and question on the platform carries a report button that goes straight to us for review.
• Parents welcome: you may sit in on your child’s sessions at any time.

Sharing and services

We use a small number of service providers to run classes — video conferencing (Google Meet), cloud storage for recordings and materials, and our own hosted learning platform. They process data only to provide those services. Beyond that, we disclose personal information only if the law requires it.

Retention

We keep learning records while a student is enrolled, because the history is part of how we teach (weak topics are found and re-tested from it). After a student leaves, we delete or anonymize personal records on request, and otherwise retain only what billing and legal obligations require.

Your choices

Parents and guardians can ask us at any time to: see the information we hold about them or their child; correct it; export the child’s notes and records; or delete them. Write to info@xcelvations.com or WhatsApp +91 94414 00202 — a real person answers both.
